As a stereotype of big and tall men this weekend I played basketball with my mates, but here we are, that’s much easier if you’re tall.
I quite often play basketball and my shoes are the Nike Air Max Audacity TB, comfortable and perfectly adapted to my level. I have to say that I appreciate the design too.
Shoes are, as you may know, essential and depend on your skills and playing style. They reduce the risk of injury and strengthen your skills on the ground.
There are 3 types of basketball shoes: high-tops, mid-tops and low-tops.
- High-tops have the best ankle support but they are the heaviest shoes of all. Perfect for post players because of the high frequency of jump and land movements. They are highly recommended for big and tall men as ankles are working harder.
- Mid-tops allow better movement but provide less stability than high-tops. Perfect for all-around players as they aren’t heavy.
- Low-tops are the lightest and so allow you to take advantage of your speed. That’s why they are perfect for ball-handlers.
After a few requests on the social media, here is a selection of large size basketball shoes for men from jonathoncharles.co.uk :
