Today I'm doing a point on how to tie a tie. I struggle to do it and I think I'm not the only one -but even if I am, you'll learn different ways! At school we just do a four-in-hand knot but as we grow up it can be very pertinent to look smarter with a different knot.
Here is a selection of 18 ways to tie a necktie, found on the Real Man Real Style website, which are very well-explained on those drawings.
Have a look:
Small: choose smaller ties as they will be proportional. They will also be narrower than normal ones but they are exactly what you need.
Tall: normal ties ( 57-59inches) will be perfect for tall men up to 6foot 2inches. But don't worry, if you are taller you can still wear them as you can tie them with a smaller knot (to keep the length).
Big: opt for normal ties as they shouldn't be too thin or tied with small knots. Everything must be proportional.
Thin: they must not be too big as once again, your accessories have to be proportional. So normal length and normal width are what you're looking for. If you're tall, choose tall and broader ties because they must cover all the way down to your belt.
Thank you guys!
